This course provides covers the important detail of writing good HTML, moving into advanced topics. It provides a solid introduction to scripting, including JavaScript and CGI scripting.

As the business use of the Internet continues unabated, you need to be able to create web and Intranet pages the work on all platforms and browsers, and are at the leading edge of useability and functionality.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

• write good, portable HTML code
• use graphics effectively
• use frames and table effectively
• use imagemaps, and decide on whether they should be server side or client side (or both?)
• identify what features of dynamic HTML will be of use
• use cascading style sheets for consistency
• use content positioning using CSS or Layers
• include plugins for extra interest
• use VRML
• use JavaScript for interactivity, with rollovers, popup-navigation, cookies
• use Java Applets
• understand how to include a CGI script
• use counters, forms and Server-Side includes

This course is aimed at everyone who needs to produce excellent HTML pages.

You should have produced a web page already. You can bring your web site to the course, and add the extra features to it during the course.
