Objectives

This course gives programmers who are familiar with the basics of C/C++ the further insight and techniques they need to write better C/C++ code - freer of bugs, easier to write, read and maintain. It also gives further structured practice to enable programmers to use these techniques in many different areas.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:

Audience

This course is aimed at C/C++ programmers who want to write better C/C++, and use more of the features of the language. Also to gain experience with optimisation, style, debugging, and learn general tips and tricks for writing better C/C++.

Note that it does not cover the object-oriented aspects of C++.

Prerequisites

Familiarity with C/C++ to the level of the Introductory course.
